INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE

When you purchase a CSA share, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, share selection, optional tree contribution, and the confirmations required to complete the purchase. We also retain transaction references and order details supplied by our payment provider.

When you join the mailing list, we collect your email address, the signup source, the date of signup, and the version of the consent language shown to you. When you contact us, we receive the information included in your message.

PAYMENTS

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered into fields provided by Stripe and do not pass through our application server. Stripe may collect payment, device, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own privacy policy.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use personal information to process and confirm purchases, communicate about cider production and pickup, handle refunds or changes affecting an order, respond to questions, operate and protect the website, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain business and accounting records, and comply with applicable obligations.

Buying a CSA share does not automatically subscribe you to general marketing. We send general orchard and cider updates only when you separately join the mailing list. You may unsubscribe from those messages at any time. We may still send transactional messages needed to fulfill an existing purchase.

SERVICE PROVIDERS AND DISCLOSURE

We use service providers to operate the website and business, including Stripe for payments, Vercel for website hosting, and Google services for mailing-list records and business communications. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own terms.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect customers or the business, or complete a business transfer.

We do not sell personal information.

COOKIES AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Our hosting and payment providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, request logs, and cookies needed for security, fraud prevention, payment, and reliable operation.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell information for targeted advertising.

RETENTION

We retain order and customer records for as long as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, accounting, taxes, refunds, disputes, and legal compliance.

Mailing-list information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. General inquiries are retained only as long as reasonably useful for responding and maintaining appropriate business records.

YOUR CHOICES

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information by emailing hello@ocidery.com. We may need to retain certain records for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or transaction purposes.

You can unsubscribe from general mailing-list messages using the unsubscribe method provided in those messages or by contacting us.

AGE

CSA purchases are available only to adults aged 21 or older. The website and mailing list are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as our services or providers change. The date above identifies the latest version.
